I spent my morning reading different stories about people being arrested and charged when you can clearly see in the videos that it is a mental health issue and they needed to go to a hospital to get help from a doctor and not to a jail cell to just sit. It frustrates me to my core when I see this. Many of us scream for change and bring awareness but it seems it still doesn’t change especially in certain states. I talk a lot about prison reform on my twitter. I’m just so passionate about this issue having gone through the system with my own family so you become even more committed to wanting to bring awareness. I’m now a member of the American Civil Liberties Union thanksI to my brother who knows my fight. Thank you to all of you who bring awareness as well and read my thoughts on mental health and prison reform.
